We all need to change. You and I can be a better person -- not in the future, but NOW, and Lent is a perfect time for conversion and inner renewal because of its penitential character. Many of us at the UN joined the Organization in order to change the world but ignore the fact that it begins with a change of one’s own habit, attitude and lifestyle. We lament the social ills around us, but have we ever examined the inner recesses of our soul? It’s time to ponder on these fundamental questions in the presence of God who is rich in mercy and love. It is also a perfect time to meet and welcome our new chaplain in person, and there will be opportunity for confessions as well. Please feel free to invite your colleagues and friends!

Speaker Bio: Fr. Henry Bocala is a priest of the Prelature of Opus Dei working as a Chaplain and Spiritual Director in Manhattan, New York. A Doctor of Canon Law from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome, he is a lecturer and the author of several books on Christian ethics and spirituality. He carried out pastoral work in Israel, Spain, Italy, South Africa, Australia, and the Philippines before moving to the United States. Prior to his sacerdotal ordination, Fr. Bocala worked as a freelance journalist and legislative staff at the Philippine Congress. He is also an award-winning artist.
