In this enriching talk, we will delve into the profound spiritual teachings of the Church’s most revered figures, exploring how their timeless wisdom can nourish our personal spiritual journeys. Highlighting the key teachings of the Desert Fathers and Mothers, whose ascetic insights laid the foundation for Christian contemplative life, we will also journey through the inspiring lives of the medieval visionaries, Francis and Clare of Assisi, whose radical devotion redefined simplicity and divine love. Finally, we will connect with the transformative reflections of Thomas Merton, the American Trappist monk whose modern contemplative writings resonate deeply in our fast-paced world.  The talk will be based on insights from the speaker’s acclaimed work, A Feast for Hungry Souls: Spiritual Lessons from the Church’s Greatest Masters & Mystics.
