Please join in for this talk by Father Matthew Blake who will present on the great St. Teresa of Avila - one of the most influential women in the history of Christianity! Come learn from this prominent Spanish mystic, Roman Catholic saint, Carmelite nun, author during the Counter Reformation, and theologian of contemplative life through mental prayer. She was a reformer of the Carmelite Order and is considered to be a founder of the Discalced Carmelites along with John of the Cross.

Speaker Bio: Matt Blake OCD has been a Discalced Carmelite Priest since 1988. He has mostly worked in England. His main ministry is retreats but he has also worked in parishes. He is currently a member of the Carmelite Community, Kensington, London.
