Speaker Bio: Father Louis J. Scurti was born in Jersey City and ordained a catholic priest in 1973. He served for over three decades at William Paterson University as director of the Catholic Campus Ministry. He was also the host of the nationally broadcast program The Word: Alive and Well, which aired on 40 cable networks. In addition to his pastoral duties, Fr. Lou taught Western and Church history and is a licensed marriage and family therapist where he also received his Ph.D. Beyond academia and media, Fr. Lou initiated impactful volunteer programs such as Thanksgiving Awareness and Shelter the Homeless. Now retired and recently celebrating his 80th Birthday, Fr. Lou continues to serve at parishes in New York City. An accomplished artist, his religious paintings have been displayed in chapels and private collections. You can find more information about Fr.
